May, you snuck up so fast! Anyone else feel that zip of April?
For all paid subscribers (thank you!), I will see you on ZOOM on Tuesday, May 2 (tomorrow!) at 10am MST for our monthly connection. We will go through the Audit & Ask together because I rarely would really do it if going it alone and love the shared experience, bring your open mind, notebook and pen.

Here is my own Audit & Ask to close out April as we embark on May with intention.
AUDIT
Take a moment to close your eyes and see all that was April. Meetings, moments, people, health, work, commitments, failures, celebrations and all the learnings.
In one word, how was April? ___________________________
April in one-ish word for me was an emotional roller coaster with all the highs and lows and that part where you put your hands in the air and are momentarily really brave but if you are like me, you sneak them back to the handrail just before your stomach flips and just in case. That was April.
What are two learnings you experienced from April?
I recently had a guide tell me that when I am working with people 1x1, I should never touch any tech (phone, keyboard, nothing). It actually blocks my channels open to listen deeper and share boldly. And I have been practicing this with all my 1x1 clients and I learn again and again, she was right. (Psst. You can peep my 1x1 coaching here).
I learned (yet again) that a hydrated body feels best. Living in the mountainous dry air, it is easy for me to slide to dehydration and often. I can feel the effects on my skin, in my organs, in my joints, in my cravings. And of course I keep learning that metaphorically, where am I dehydrated and could use some water in my whole life is telling. Can of worms, now open. Huzzah.
What are two celebrations you can share from April?
I set a goal with you all last month in the goal section (it is in the Audit & Ask post here) to have 400 (free) subscribers and 70 paid here on my Substack because the art is good. I am happy to report I surpassed 400 free and am at 66 paid subscribers (so close to my goal!). Celebrating the commitment to creative expression, the connection from words to community and the goal still so alive!
Another celebration is my last library haul, almost every single book I checked out was poetry. It feels like something to celebrate, I just don’t know why yet but celebrating anyways. Highly recommend Margaret Atwood’s “DEARLY: New Poems” and highly recommend your local library (find your closest library here)!

In one word, what do you want May to feel like, sound like? ____________________
I want May to feel like cosmic alignment and sound like the ocean waves. Let it be so.
What do you want in May? Make a list. Write a snapshot.
I am going to make the list today, here we go:
I want continued clarity on my contribution as a coach - especially as I lean deeper and deeper into the realization that I coach most on power of voice and confidence and then the goals.
I want deep breaths in and out, in and out, all the way out.
I want to get a library card in my new town within the first week of arrival.
I want to collaborate online and offline. I do not know what shape this takes just yet but it feels very important to write and say out loud.
I want to create two new topics I want to be speaking on stages about. I will create some journal prompts around voice in the month of May to support this exploration.
I want to feel the boldness of listening to my body in a time where it is so easy to distract, avoid and numb.
I want to walk the beach every single day for a year. Every day, feet touch sand. I will add this down in the goals section.
How do you want to feel in May?
I want to feel all the feelings in May. We will embark to our new home and be there before the start of June (which should be a fun Audit & Ask to explore next month). I want to lean into how I feel packing, how I feel hugging a beloved community good bye for now, and I want to feel my family in the throes of change, together and as individuals.
What is one goal (or more) that you can commit to in support of your desire and feelings for May? Start with one goal, see how it goes.
I will host 3 family meetings in the month of May by May 31 to check in, calibrate, listen and clear.
I will embark on my 365 days walking the sea (name tbd) on May 29.
