Body Calls a Meeting with Mind, She Came with A List
On seeking forgiveness.
Welcome Mind, you can sit there. Please take your time to get comfortable, water is there in the corner and extra blankets, if you need them.
Mind grumbled a grumble, sat down abruptly - no water, no cozies.
Ahh, hello Body, you’re over here actually. If you prefer the ground, we prepared a palette for you here. Water is there in the corner and extra blankets are there, as well.
Body placed herself gently in the chair with apprehension and an air of stoic. She did grab water, smart being.
“So, where shall we begin, who would like to start?”

.
Mind finally looks across the table to Body.
Body holds the stare with a locked jaw.
Mind mocks, “listen Body, you called this meeting - or whatever this is - so start already. I don’t have all day.”
Body takes a deep breath. And then another. She shifts herself from side to side in her chair that is a bit too small for her wholeness and says, “you are correct, I did. I asked for this space so we can discuss our partnership, our connection or lack there of, and finally make one decision, together. As of late, that has not been our modus operandi and I will not stand for it any longer.”
